Projects Executive


THE POSITION

Hello Tomorrow Asia Pacific seeks a Projects Executive to help build tools and frameworks that support the delivery of successful outcomes in the translation of science and engineering IP to industry.
 

They will work closely with senior team members to engage corporates, governments, and institutions to scope, design, and deliver on a range of open-innovation initiatives, startup programmes, workshops, etc.

We identify and analyse innovation trends and dynamics; and host dialogues that thoroughly consider the evolving roles of emerging technologies in our society.

THE ROLE
 

They will help to plan and execute all innovation programme- and project-related activities undertaken by the Organisation. They will be actively involved in consulting with our external partners and clients, with the view of proposing, scoping, crafting, and executing thoughtful initiatives, programmes, and projects that drive value for all parties involved.

 

Examples of projects that they will work on include:

  • Scientist-entrepreneurship equipping

  • Incubation and Acceleration programmes

  • Market-access initiatives

  • Co-innovation initiatives

  • Open-innovation challenges

  • Industry innovation projects

  • Learning expeditions and workshops


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Supporting the design and execution of above-mentioned initiatives and programmes that help stakeholders create value, solve pain points, and unlock growth opportunities; and building meaningful long-term relationships and collaborations with them. These stakeholders are varied, and include MNCs, SMEs, academic/ research institutions, investors, governmental bodies, and NGOs.
     

  • Conducting research and analysis as required to support the activities of the Organisation and the outcomes of specific projects. The research covers a wide breadth of topics which include science & technology, government & industry, and communities & eco-systems, amongst others.
     

  • Building relationships with project partners, including clients, mentors, volunteers, and vendors, ensuring quality execution, reporting, and delivery.

  • Formulating discussions, workshops, and roundtables around innovation development across a range of industries.

  • Conceptualising and facilitating dialogues and events to drive commercial opportunities for the Organisation and project outcomes for partners.

The ideal candidate is deeply curious about technical innovations and how researchers, start-ups, governments, private capital markets, and corporates intersect to develop meaningful innovations at scale. They are thoughtful and organised, able to respectfully challenge and improve the status quo, whilst simultaneously deliverables are achieved in expected fashion.

  6. Be polished, and always conduct themself professionally, but also flexible and always ready to roll up their sleeves to do what needs to be done.


QUALIFICATIONS

1-3 years of professional working experience with an undergraduate degree in Science & Engineering or Entrepreneurship-related courses.

 

Candidates with a background in corporate innovation, venture building, accelerator/ incubator programmes, or who have played key roles in the creation and scaling of a start-up will be favourably considered.
